Privacy Policy

During your initial session, your therapist will provide verbal information in relation to clients’ rights, responsibilities and Bloom Well-being’s policies in relation to privacy/confidentiality and the limits.

Generally, the information given by clients to a therapist remains confidential, excluding information that pertains to the abuse of young people under 18 years of age, or speaks to the risk of harm to self/others.

You do NOT need to have reported your experience of abuse to the Police or another service, to access Bloom Well-being. Even if the abuse occurred when you were a child, as long as you are now aged over 18 years old. If you have any further questions, please speak to your therapist.

Each Therapist is governed by their own accreditation body eg AASW Privacy and Confidentiality, (https://www.aasw.asn.au/document/item/13400). In addition to relevant government regulations and policies.
