Free Mental Health Support in Victoria, The Provisional Psychologist Pilot

We're thrilled to share the launch of the exciting new Provisional Psychologist Pilot Program, a collaboration with Federation University and supported by the Victorian Government. This innovative initiative provides direct, free-of-charge access to provisional psychologists, with no need for a referral from your GP for a mental health care plan.

Who are Provisional Psychologists?

Provisional psychologists are in their 5th and 6th years of study, preparing for their professional journeys. Before their full registration, they undergo rigorous training, including regular sessions with board-approved supervisors. These students are eager to apply their skills and offer valuable support.

Who Is This Service For?

This program is tailored for children, adolescents, and adults who are recognising signs that they may not be functioning at their best. It serves as an early intervention lifeline for those experiencing challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, anger, grief, and sleep problems. If you have a diagnosed mental illness, we recommend consulting your GP for the most suitable service.

The Provisional Psychologist Pilot Program is completely free of charge. We believe that financial barriers should not prevent anyone from seeking support and this is a fantastic opportunity to get you started on your journey to healing.

This is exclusive to Rural and Regional Victoria
