Clinical Psychologist

Monique Bricknell

Monique values creating a genuine, warm, and compassionate therapeutic space. She is a Clinical Psychologist, with a variety of experience working in public health settings, university health clinics and private practice.

Monique is genuinely interested in getting to know you and your story so that she can tailor therapy to meet your needs and preferences. She works using a trauma-informed,
intersectional feminist framework, always considering the impact of systems and structures on individual and societal health and wellbeing.

She listens with non-judgemental curiosity, working with you so you may see your strengths and difficulties with more clarity, and develop tools that will help you to feel more at ease.

Monique has a particular interest in the areas of trauma, chronic pain, eating disorders and identity exploration. She draws on a mix of evidence-based treatment, including Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems.

Monique offers a neurodiversity affirming practice, inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community and alternative relationship structures.

In her spare time, you might find Monique looking for four-leaf clovers, sleeping in or playing music.
